The Eastwood Rosebowl final was played at Greenacres on Wednesday 7 December in front of a crowd of 1! The match started with a strong start from Robertson's "Rocks" with a 2, 1 and 2 to take a 5 shot to nil lead. However Paterson's "Peelers" managed to steady the ship with wins at the next 3 ends to take a 9 shot to 5 lead into the final end. The "Rocks" managed to claim a single and the game finished with a win for Paterson (Skip), Whyte, Leslie and Cockburn.
The match was notable for the high amount of advice on offer with often more curlers in the head than stones!
The trophy was presented to the winning team by last year's Champion (and crowd) Stuart Orr. The standard of play must have been reasonable because he did not ask for his entrance money to be refunded!
